The Levels -
Beginners - This level is suitable for those who have no knowledge or previous experience in the language
Elementary - This level is ideal if you understand the basics of the language.
Intermediate - This level is if you already understand a wide range of everyday vocabulary and you can communicate in everyday and simple situations.
Upper Intermediate - This level is for students who can communicate ideas in most everyday situations and discuss common topics using a variety of tenses and expressions, communicating quite fluently with a wide range of vocabulary.
We use a communicative method by which you will practise and use the language from your first day. This approach enables the student to develop the strategies and knowledge necessary to manage in the real world, so the language is produced in a natural way and the four skills (speaking, listening, writing and reading) are integrated. We also promote activities to be carried out in pairs or small groups to improve communication.
International House Teachers
All our teachers are fully qualified at internationally accredited standards to teach their respective languages. They have experience teaching internationally and have also been second language learners themselves.
The main advantage of one-to-one lessons is that they are specifically structured according to each student’s individual needs, regarding methodology and content. After an interview with you, we design a tailormade programme. The contents, times and starting dates of these private classes can be arranged to suit your individual needs. Please contact us for more information.
The aim of this course is to help improve your level of competence in many typical work-related activities, such as participating in meetings, using the telephone for business, negotiating and selling, making presentations, etc. Courses can be delivered in private one-to-one lessons or small groups. They can be full-time or part-time depending on your requirements.
