2020 Vision

A word from the Directors...
and news about our new programmes this year!

By Patricia Mullen - Marketing and Executive Director

After a busy 2019 we are hoping we can hold the same momentum going into this year. We understand that there are challenges for us all because of the ‘B’ word but really are galvanised to not let this affect our relationship with our partners, especially concerning those based in EU countries. The EFL industry has always had international issues to recover from and because of our robust determination and love of language travel we have overcome many hurdles over the past 41 years. Newcastle voted remain in the EU and being recently voted the friendliest city in the UK we hope we can reassure that all our clients from every corner of the planet, including our great friends from Europe that we will continue to give everyone a truly wonderful ‘GEORDIE’ welcome in our school and of course our city!!

And last but not least read on to see a  few of our new and exciting options for 2020!!!!

Examination success! The NEW IH Examination Pathway Course

Our new flexible approach to the Cambridge examination courses and other examinations. We feel confident that we have found the solution by using our IH Platform to devise an examination course which can be taken at any time of the year and for as many weeks as the student can afford. This will include a pre-arrival online module to introduce students to the structure of the exam and useful exam strategies, followed by General English classes at the appropriate CEFR level and teacher guided exam preparation in our Personal Study Programme. So no more set dates but a flexible and convenient approach to examinations. We intend to continue the same model for many other options later in the year!

NEW residential option for younger learners in Newcastle!!

Due to the ever increasing younger learners market we have actively been looking for a residential option to complement our already heavily subscribed Junior Homestay Programme in Newcastle…we have now found the perfect location in the University of Northumbria. Classes will take place in the university next to the accommodation which is located in the city centre. The homestay students will also join these classes and the social programme, prices will remain the same for both options. In addition to this we are also offering our residential courses in July at Durham school.
