International House can arrange self-catering accommodation in Charlotte House (see right). Each centrally heated apartment has 3-6 bedrooms, a lounge, kitchen and two bathrooms as shared facilities. Outside office hours there is a resident post- graduate student who can assist with any emergencies. Charlotte House is in the centre of the city, close to International House, Newcastle College and both universities. The accommodation is secure and safe, as well as quiet and a perfect place to study. Each bedroom has a bed, shelves, wardrobe with mirror, table, chair and desk lamp, and is carpeted and curtained. The apartments have wireless broadband internet access and a telephone line, which can be connected at very low cost. There is also a pay phone on site. The bath/ shower rooms have all been newly refurbished as well as the lounge and kitchens. Bedding, crockery and cutlery is provided for all International House students and is included in the rent. The rent includes electricity heating and water, as well as cleaning of the common areas and kitchens on a regular basis. Students are responsible for keeping their bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchens in a clean condition.
